Just Another Sunday in Rome

Was a rainy day.  Good day for a museum tour so we hopped on a bus to the Borghese to see:

Bernini’s incredible sculpture of Apollo catching Daphne and turning he into a tree.   And also

Caravaggio’s incredible depiction of Saint Jerome.   I showed it to my friend, Jerome, and he was not impressed.  I was. 

Braved the rain on the walk back from the museum - down the Spanish steps 


and found the Roman Marble columns are so plentiful in Europe that they catch in the trees as they are falling.
